Description

Novel psychoactive substances and legislation such as CA AB2188 pose challenges to employers. Running an effective drug-free workplace safety program is more important than ever, but businesses need new tools and strategies to meet the present moment.

Join ARCpoint Labs of Salinas and Spenser Smith, Laboratory Director and Owner, in a discussion of best practices and emerging technologies relating to drug and impairment detection in the workplace. Technologies such as rapid psychoactive THC testing devices, new tox panels for emerging drugs of abuse and synthetic opiates, and AI-empowered field sobriety testing technology will be covered. Additionally, Spenser will speak about the importance of updating company policy and best practices when substantiating a determination of illicit substance use, or a finding of physical or mental impairment on the job.

The audience will be left with a greater understanding of existing and new trends of drug use within the U.S. while learning about different approaches and strategies to contend with the impact of the changing landscape.
