Join us Saturday\, April 11th\, 2026\, for an exceptional evening of world-class guitar music on the Monterey Bay as part of the nonprofit organization's 2026 Concert Series.Ticket Price: $40\nDoors open: 6:30 PM\nShowtime: 7:00 PM\nProgram length: Approximately 60 minutesFor Kaz Hudson\, the guitar is more than an instrument it is a powerful medium for expression\, exploration\, and expanding the voice of classical guitar. A versatile guitarist known for his expressive depth and stylistic range\, Kaz is equally at home on acoustic and electric instruments\, exploring a wide array of musical traditions while keeping classical guitar at the center of his artistry.Kaz's performances have been featured by organizations such as the Carmel Guitar Society\, the Peninsula Guitar Series\, and NPR's From the Top. He has received numerous top prizes\, including First Prize at the Josefina P. Tuason International Guitar Competition and the James Stroud Classical Guitar Competition. A passionate chamber musician\, Kaz was the first guitarist ever accepted into the Yellow Barn Young Artists Program and was a winner of the SFCM Honors Ensemble Competition as part of Duo Panoro with clarinetist Zoe King.Kaz began his studies in Colorado with Mike Hyland and Jonathan Leathwood\, while also developing a broad musical background through jazz combos\, wind ensembles\, choirs\, and pit orchestras. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Music degree at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music\, studying with Meng Su.As a performer\, Kaz brings a repertoire that appeals to all audiences inviting both longtime lovers of classical guitar and those new to the genre to enjoy an evening of live performance that promises to be immersive\, emotionally resonant\, and richly expressive.
