JOB FAIR ORGANIZED TO SUPPORT PAJARO FLOOD VICTIMS
The Monterey County Workforce Development Board is teaming up the County of Monterey and the Santa Cruz County Workforce Development Board on Wednesday, June 7 at Our Lady of the Assumption Church at 100 Salinas Road in Pajaro to host a job fair from 1pm-4pm in response to recent flooding that devastated the area in March. “We’re reaching out to the community to attend and hope that flood victims, jobseekers and employers will come out to support Pajaro residents. We want to help put people back to work!” said Monterey County Workforce Development Executive Director, Christopher Donnelly. “We’re happy to be hosting the event in an effort to spur economic improvement to an area that’s been severely impacted due to flood damages,” he said. Job fair participants can expect to see employers and businesses from the local area in attendance, which is designed to support families impacted by recent flooding and the devastating effects of winter storms. Employers are asked to contact Monterey County Workforce Development Board Business Services Specialist, Diego Anguiano at (831) 597-4375 or Business Services Specialist, Laura Kershner at (831) 796-3341 to register to attend. Employer space is limited to 20 businesses that are currently hiring.
