Children's Shopping Tour - Save the Date!

For over 70 years, the Children’s Shopping Tour has been a heartfelt tradition that brings joy and changes lives every holiday season. The Salinas Valley Chamber of Commerce Foundation is proud to present the 74th Children’s Shopping Tour, which will take place on Saturday, December 13, 2025, from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Northridge Mall. Each year, local schools and teachers nominate children, based on need, to participate in this special event. On Shopping Tour day, each child is paired with a volunteer chaperone and receives a gift card to shop for essential clothing. Generous retailers at Northridge Mall offer exclusive discounts, maximizing the impact of each donation.
There are opportunities available to support the event for everyone! You can volunteer at one of the many stations, such as set-up, check-in, distributing gift cards, cutting merchandise tags, take-down, or you can sign up to be a chaperone and spend a fun-filled day of shopping with the children. Witness the smiles and joy of children as they pick out their own clothing, create a lasting impact, and make memories!
To ensure the safety of the children involved, if one is 18 years or older, they must be pre-screened through our background check process via Checkr and fingerprinted at the Chamber office, prior to the event to participate.

Volunteer Shifts: 6:30-9:00 AM or 9:00 AM -12:00 PM

Chaperone Shift: 7:00 - 10:00 AM

High-School Volunteers: 7:00 -9:00 AM or 9:00-12:00 PM

**Chaperones, as a reminder to bring your valid driver's ID and filled out form sealed by the Chamber)

We have closed general registration for volunteers/chaperones (please no-walk-in's at the door as we have to background check/fingerprint prior to). Please email Jasmine@salinaschamber.com or membership@salinaschamber.com if you have any questions related to the event. 


 If you are a public safety personnel (Ex: Fire Department/Police Department, etc), please email Jasmine@salinaschamber.com as there is separate registration.
