Forest Bath Nature Experience with Maria Best from Looking For Space
Thursday, September 30, 2021 (5:30 PM - 7:00 PM) (PDT)
Description
Forest bathing is a growing practice that supports health and wellness through guided immersions in forests and other natural environments to promote the well-being of both people and the land. It is inspired by shinrin-yoku, the Japanese practice of forest bathing. In forest bathing, people spend time in forested areas to enhance health, wellness, and happiness.
Maria Best, founder and owner of Looking For Space, is a Certified Nature and Forest Therapy Guide with the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy, and will be offering a forest bathing experience on Thursday, September 30th, from 5:30 - 7:00 pm at Toro Regional Park.
We will meet in the parking lot near the Buckeye Group site. (Take a left just before the flagpole near the ranger station)
Please note: This is not a hike. We will not be exerting ourselves. At times we will be sitting, so if you are not comfortable sitting directly with the earth, please bring something to sit on such as a small blanket or pad.
Register in advance as space is limited.
