This annual event supports literacy efforts throughout Monterey County. Literacy can break the bonds of multi-generational struggle by improving health, income, and daily life. All proceeds from this event support free Homework Centers, free Summer Reading Programs, and free online tutoring services. Every year, over 48,000 individuals participate in the Foundation’s literacy programs. Monterey County Free Libraries operates 15 branches, 3 bookmobiles, and a virtual branch that serve the County.
