The Salinas Valley Solid Waste Authority is a joint powers authority (JPA) with responsibility for the solid waste facilities and disposal services of the eastern portion of Monterey County, including the entire Salinas Valley corridor. Salinas Valley Recycles supports the cities of Salinas, Gonzales, King City, Greenfield, Soledad and adjoining unincorporated areas within Monterey County.
