ALBA Family Farm Day
Saturday, October 7th from 11:00am-3:00pm
The Agriculture and Land-Based Training Association (ALBA) will host a Family Farm Day on Saturday, October 7th from 11:00am to 3:00pm. On this day, the community is invited to visit our 100-acre training facility, nestled in the heart of the Salinas Valley.
With impressive views of the local farmland and mountain ranges, guests will be able to purchase a bounty of freshly harvested organic produce from family farms while also learning about sustainable agricultural practices and our unique non-profit organization. Families will enjoy activities like tractor rides, face painting, carnival games, pumpkin decoration, and a bouncy house. Lunch will be available to purchase.
Visitors are encouraged to bring cash and re-usable bags for produce purchases. This is our only Family Farm Day celebration for the year, so don’t miss it!
ALBA is located at 1700 Old Stage Road south of Salinas. Once at the property entrance, follow the ALBA signs into the farm.
ALBA is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that helps aspiring and beginning farmers--primarily immigrant farmworkers--start and grow their own organic farm businesses. For more information, call (831) 758-1469 or visit www.albafarmers.org.
