Capitola, CA – December 9, 2024 – Bay Federal Credit Union is excited to announce the return of Creedence Shaw as Vice President of Business Services. In this role, Mr. Shaw will lead Bay Federal’s Business Services Department, focusing on providing outstanding business lending and deposit services for small to middle-market businesses across Santa Cruz, San Benito, and Monterey Counties. By fostering greater economic mobility and supporting the creation of quality jobs, Mr. Shaw aims to make a lasting impact on the local community.

With over a decade of high-level experience, Mr. Shaw joins Bay Federal from prominent roles at various financial institutions. His tenure established him as a trusted figure in commercial lending, regulatory compliance, and risk management. Mr. Shaw’s expertise spans key areas such as Commercial Real Estate (CRE), Small Business Administration (SBA), and Commercial and Industrial (C&I) Lending. Most notably, Mr. Shaw led a team of individuals who made insurmountable impacts on the community during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. Assisting more than 4,500 small local businesses, Shaw and his team brought five hundred million dollars back into the community through Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) Loans.

Beyond his career, Mr. Shaw is an outdoor enthusiast who truly lives his passion for adventure. Whether running, cycling, sailing, paddling, or embarking on long hikes, he relishes every opportunity to be outside. Mr. Shaw is also a dedicated member of the county’s Search and Rescue team, where he finds immense reward in helping locate individuals who have strayed off the beaten path. “I love when they drop me in the middle of nowhere, no trails—just me, my partner, GPS, and our experience,” Mr. Shaw shared. “It’s incredibly rewarding and always quite the adventure.”
