It will be Christmas in July on Soledad St. on Saturday, July 25, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Closer Walk, along with numerous churches and other organizations, will host a Christmas celebration at 22 Soledad St., with Santa Claus handing out donations to the homeless community.  

Closer Walk is an outreach center on Soledad Street, in the heart of Salinas--the city with Heart--which serves the unhoused, many of whom are lacking basic necessities like toiletries, clothing (clothing can be new or gently used), socks, shoes, warm caps, gloves, jackets, rain, gear, etc.  Food is another need for many—especially packaged snacks--and cash, check or direct deposit monetary donations will always be put to good use.

With our help and your help, we can provide clients with comfort and nourishment.  If you can help provide for any of the above needs, please take what you have to 22 Soledad St. weekdays from 9:00 to 11:00 AM or call George Niesen, 831-595-3165, for an alternate drop-off.  Closer Walk is a 501(C)3 non-profit organization.
