Continuing its mission to empower young people through character-building experiences that foster confidence, integrity, leadership and life skills, First Tee — Monterey County has announced a yearlong community dining fundraiser series throughout 2026.

Called Plates with Purpose, the initiative brings together national and local restaurants across Monterey County for designated dining days where community members can support youth development simply by dining out. On each event date, guests are encouraged to mention First Tee — Monterey County when ordering, with a portion of proceeds benefiting First Tee’s local programs.

Funds raised through Plates with Purpose support the nonprofit’s innovative blend of golf and life skills education. Since 2004, more than 165,000 young individuals have participated in local programs, gaining essential qualities such as resilience, self-confidence and inner strength.
