JAMES KIRKHAM FROM RACE SERVICE IS HEADING TO MONTEREY MOTORSPORTS FESTIVAL WITH HIS UNIMOG!
James will be available to sign autographs and talk about his Unimog off-road transporter
Monterey, CA, July 28, 2025. With three weeks until the gates open at Monterey Motorsports Festival on August 16, we’re excited to announce yet another headline attraction in the wake of Mad Mike and his MADMAC P1, DJ Dillon Francis headlining the music festival, and the US debut of the Giugiaro-designed Peralta S. The latest name added to the roster is James Kirkham from Race Service. Not only will he be available for autographs during the event but he’s bringing the Unimog debut alongside the Race Service AMG GT3 Raw Spec program!
As the co-founder of Donut Media and now Race Service – as well as serving as the Chief Brand Officer for RS – James has been at the forefront of video content creation and storytelling for a decade. The company’s work in Formula 1 has grabbed millions of views as RS strives to capture the imagination of fans and demystify the sport.
With his background as a motorsports fan and driver, James led the Race Service project that developed the AMG GT3 “Raw Spec.” It was built in partnership wing Mercedes-AMG Motorsports, designed to both emphasize the raw material of the AMG GT3 while merging racing with art and culture. Part of the program has included appearances at a number of events including Gridlife and Art Basel Miami as well as an entire video series on the Race Service YouTube channel, of course.
To transport the GT3, Race Service invested in a Mercedes Unimog – an unsung heavy-duty, off-road workhorse that can commonly be found in Bavarian forests but is rarely seen in North America. Capable of lifting the race car onto its cargo bed with the built-in crane, the RS Unimog both demands and receives respect wherever it goes. And visitors to the Monterey Motorsports Festival on August 16 will be able to see it throughout the show, which runs from 5-11PM. And James will be talking about how RS utilizes its Unimog as well as some of the major projects the team has executed.
Fans who’d like to meet James in person are invited to attend an autograph session, taking place at approximately 6:30-7:30PM at the Main Stage area at Monterey Motorsports Festival.
