Join Monterey County Works in-person events this July and make meaningful connections with local employers!
Are career changes on your mind? Don’t let the dog days of summer get you down. “Why not join us this July as our mid-summer events get into full swing?” said Monterey County Works, Executive Director, Christopher Donnelly. “Employers are looking for people with soft skills, said Donnelly. “Soft skills are personal attributes, communication styles, and behavioral habits that dictate how you interact with others and navigate your environment. Unlike hard skills (which are teachable, technical abilities like coding or accounting), soft skills are transferable "people skills" that determine how you apply your expertise and collaborate within a team.”
Jobseekers are encouraged to dress their best, review Monterey County Works website calendar of events for which employers are registered to attend, bring their resumes and be ready to make the connections and demonstrate their soft skills in person. “There’s no need for jobseekers to register in advance, we’ll capture your information at the door, said Donnelly. “Just dress your best, bring your resume and be ready to make the connections. See you there!”
