Love Letter to Hollywood is back with Vol. 2! This year’s concerts will not disappoint with popular movie music from feature films under the baton of Associate Conductor Brad Hogarth. “We are excited to once again showcase the extraordinary talent of our local favoriteMalinda DeRouen. Malinda’s stunning vocal range will enchant us with selections from beloved scores, including Skyfallfrom James Bond, Lord of the Rings, and The Nightmare Before Christmas,” says Brad Hogarth.

“I am thrilled to return to the Forest Theater for Love Letter to Hollywood Vol 2We’re diving straight into the heart of cinematic romance with two iconic love themes: Miklós Rózsa’s sweeping score from the 1959 epic Ben-Hur, and Jerry Goldsmith’s hauntingly beautiful melody from the 1974 classic Chinatown,” says Hogarth.

Hogarth says, “This year's concerts promise to be a spectacular blend of whimsy, grandeur, and epic moments. We’ll celebrate John Williams’ legendary scores from Jurassic Park, Indiana Jones, and Hook, alongside spooky Halloween season favorites like The Witches of Eastwick and The Nightmare Before Christmas.”

Speaking of Halloween, the Symphony will be hosting costume contests at both concerts. Patrons are encouraged to come dressed as a character from one of the featured movies. And the first 100 patrons each concert will receive a fun color changing reusable Symphony cup filled with tasty treats!

“This year, we are performing another set of Hollywood's most unforgettable soundtracks. We’ll feature exhilarating themes from action and fantasy heroes like Indiana Jones, James Bond, and characters from Lord of the Rings and Pirates of the CaribbeanIt's a night of music that spans the heroic, the heartfelt, and the fantastical, and we can't wait to share it with you,” says Hogarth.
