Salinas City Center Improvement Association Hosts Mural Unveiling Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for "Salinas Habitats" on September 26
Salinas, CA – The Salinas City Center Improvement Association (SCCIA) is pleased to invite the public to a special celebration marking the completion of the "Salinas Habitats" mural in downtown Salinas. The ribbon cutting event will take place on Thursday, September 26, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in partnership with the Salinas Valley Chamber of Commerce.
The "Salinas Habitats" mural has been two years in the making and is a vibrant reflection of Salinas’ rich environmental and cultural landscape. This community art project was made possible through the collaboration of the California Arts Council, Salinas City Center, and Hijos Del Sol.
"We’re excited to share this incredible artwork with the community. The mural celebrates the diversity and natural beauty of Salinas, and we’re proud to have worked with such talented partners to bring this vision to life," said Greg Hamer, District Coordinator of the SCCIA.
The unveiling will include remarks from key project partners and an opportunity for attendees to meet the artists behind the mural. This event is free and open to the public.
