“Red, White & Reuse!” Luncheon and Runway Event Set for March 19 in King City

SALINAS, Calif. — Alliance on Aging announced today that tickets are now on sale for its 2026 South County Trashion Show, the organization’s largest annual fundraising event benefiting seniors throughout Monterey County. This year’s theme, “Red, White & Reuse!”, celebrates creativity, sustainability, and community spirit.
The event will take place on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at the Orradre Building at the Salinas Valley Fairgrounds in King City and will be held as a luncheon and runway show.
The Trashion Show features imaginative, one-of-a-kind fashion designs created by local artists using repurposed and everyday materials such as candy wrappers, coffee bags, newspapers, and rubber tires. The result is an unforgettable showcase where art, fashion, and environmental awareness come together for a meaningful cause.
Event highlights include:
- Silent Auction and Art Show beginning at 11:00 a.m.
- Lunch and Runway Show beginning at 12:00 p.m.
Tickets are priced at $80, with $90 runway seating available.
Proceeds from the Trashion Show directly support Alliance on Aging’s mission to provide free, critically needed programs and services for older adults in Monterey County, offered in both English and Spanish. These services include Medicare Information and Assistance (HICAP), Senior Peer Counseling, Long-Term Care Ombudsman advocacy, Tax Counseling for the Elderly, Community Education and Outreach, Benefits Checkup, and programming at The HUB.
The South County Trashion Show continues to draw artists, community leaders, and supporters from across the region and has become a signature event celebrating innovation, sustainability, and advocacy for seniors.
